Animal Logic (I & II) – Copeland – Clarke – Holland
Publicado el 29 abril, 2008 Sin comentarios aún ...

Steward Copeland, Stanley Clarke, Devorah Holland… and contributions.
Maybe “Animal Logic” didn’t have the expected commercial success.
Who knows what they had on mind when they started up the proyect. Two records and one tour between them and that’s all.
It’s a pity they decided to stop it so soon, at least for people like me who enjoy this two albums as a true example of what that sophisticated concept of pop-rock that jazz misicians of the eighties had can do for our ears. Well, we have this two exceptional works. -
Emmylou Harris – Wrecking Ball

This is a very special work.I was reading opinions about the Vertú album (Stanley Clarke, etc…) and one of those guys, who really hates Vertú work, mentioned “Wrecking Ball” as a much better example of what “good music” should sound like.
I like Vertú but i pressed CTRL+T and started a google search to find out information about “Wrecking Ball”.
I’d like to thank that angry guy
because behind this tiltle there is an amazing album. A true efficient experience of modern music arrangement. Its minimalistic, evocative and very coherent from the first track to the last without loosing contact with the country feeling and songwriting style wich Emmylou Harris is rooted in.If you have not listened yet to this album I encourage you to do it. For me it has been a very good discovery.
Good luck.
If Emmylou Harris reads this I’d like to tell her i really love this album: Your voice is a sound that summarizes evething good in life.
